CBS-X in Formulation: Documents, Form and Compatibility Questions
Before evaluating CBS-X, match the exact commercial form and current technical documents to the intended formulation. Do not transfer a dosage or chlorine-stability claim from another supplier’s grade to your own product.
Identify the actual commercial form
The SUNWAY catalogue lists powder or granular forms for CBS-X. Confirm which is being quoted and sampled, and record the exact label and batch. A trade-name match does not confirm that two commercial forms share the same handling characteristics or formulation basis. Ask the supplier to explain the grade-specific specification and consult the SDS for the actual supplied material before handling or trial preparation.
Separate textile and detergent questions
For cotton or cellulose evaluation, describe the substrate and treatment sequence. For a detergent inquiry, describe the product format and the conditions the formulation must meet. A result from textile finishing should not be used as a detergent recipe, or the reverse. SUNWAY’s cotton/cellulose wording is an evaluation boundary; an intended detergent use still requires review of the exact offered grade and its documents.
Ask for compatibility evidence, not an unconditional yes
If bleach, other additives or storage conditions are important to your formulation, make them explicit in the technical brief. Ask what test supports any stability claim and which conditions it covers. This guide does not claim that every CBS-X formulation is chlorine-stable, nor does it supply a universal dosage range. A claim on a different branded technical sheet belongs to that product and its stated conditions.
Record a decision that purchasing can use
A useful evaluation report identifies the accepted grade, supplied form, document revision and test context. It also states what has not been tested. Keep those limits visible when requesting a larger quantity or considering another batch. Review packaging, storage instructions and document availability separately from the appearance result. A sample that looks acceptable under one condition is not automatically approved for every future formulation.
Bring these points to the discussion
- Label and physical form match the quotation.
- Compatibility claims identify conditions and evidence.
- Document the application actually evaluated.
Catalogue information supports initial selection. Request the current TDS/SDS and evaluate a representative sample before production.
